Amanah Saham Malaysia 3 (ASM 3) has just paid its latest dividend on 1 October 2023. The amount is RM 0.045/unit, equal to a dividend yield of 4.5%. It is an increase from 3.75% last year.

This fund finally reversed its downtrend and distributes dividend more than 4 cents again.
Outlook
The benchmark of this fund is the same as ASM, the Maybank 12-Month Fixed Deposit, which currently has a return of 2.86% per annum. However, I think we should use the KLCI as the benchmark as this fund invests in the local equity market. Using the return of KLCI in 2022 (-4.60%), its performance is much better.
The three ASM funds distributed the same dividend in 2023. Moving forward, I think they would be able to give at least 4% dividend, provided Bank Negara does not decrease the overnight policy rate.
I do not have an account in this fixed price fund, so I am not sure if there is quota for topping up. Nonetheless, you could try to invest in ASM as its investment limit has been increased to RM 300,000.
