It has been several months since I opened my account with GXBank (click here to find out more about this digital bank). I have tried its debit card and it really gives 1% unlimited cashback.
My experience with GXBank so far
Before elaborating on its debit card, I would like to share my experience with this digital bank. First, it is really paying out interest daily, provided that your account balance is able to earn at least RM 0.01. Otherwise, you would not receive any interest. Its current interest rate is still 3% per annum.
Unlimited 1% cashback
Now, we will move on to the debit card. Though the 1% cashback is unlimited, there are certain ineligible categories. However, I would say that most expenses are covered.
Do we receive cashback on the spot? The answer is no. The cashback will be credited by end of the next day from settlement date. Based on my experience, it takes around three days to receive the cashback.
This campaign is valid till 5 November 2024 for now.
Fees and charges
Currently, GXbank waives all fees and charges associated with this debit card till 31 December 2024. These include RM 12 card issuance fee and RM 1 domestic cash withdrawal fee (via MEPS SAN). Thus, you can withdraw money from any ATM with MEPS without paying any fee, for now.
Conclusion
Other than the 1% unlimited cashback, this debit card also comes with other benefits. As the 1% unlimited cashback is the primary benefit that attracts me, I would not elaborate on the other rewards. You can check them by clicking here. It seems like GXBank is not going to charge an annual fee on this debit card and this is its another plus point. I think GXBank debit card is a good debit card to be owned and used for the time being.
