Rakuten Trade Fee Revision

Rakuten Trade has revised its brokerage fee in this year. What are the changes?

Rakuten Trade fee revision

For trades between RM 1,000.00 to RM 9,999.99, the brokerage fee is now increased to RM 9.00. It represents an increase of RM 1.00 compared to the previous amount.

Range of brokerage fees

The brokerage fees still range from RM 7.00 to a maximum of RM 100.00. Thus, the minimum and maximum fees still stay the same.

My opinion regarding the revision

I think the bulk of transactions falls between the range of RM 1,000.00 to RM 9,999.99 and it is definitely true for all my trades. Though the absolute amount is just RM 1.00, the percentage of hike is around 12.5%. However, I am still going to use this platform although the fee has increased. This is due to the fact that I find its interface to be user friendly and I could easily extract most data that I need from Rakuten Trade.
