myASNB Portal Guide

If you have an account with “Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad” (ASNB), have you registered for its online portal?

The portal is known as myASNB and I have roughly described its registration in a previous article about ASNB fixed price funds. If you still have not registered for this service, below is a guide for you.

Preliminary requirement

First of all, you need to have an ASNB account. Personally, I only invest in its fixed price funds. For the time being, I do not think that we can open an ASNB account online. Thus, you will need to visit an ASNB branch or one of its agents in person.

Registration for myASNB

The first step is to update your phone number. You can do it in one of the ASNB branches or its agents (Maybank, Maybank Islamic, CIMB Bank, RHB Bank, Pos Malaysia, Affin Bank, Bank Simpanan Nasional, Alliance Bank, AmBank and AmBank Islamic). Then go to the myASNB website (Link) to register online. Just follow the steps and you will have your online account in no time.

The operating hours for fixed price funds are from 7 am to 6 pm, Sunday to Friday and third Saturday of the month, excluding public holidays. The operating hours for variable priced funds are almost the same, except that they are shorter, from 7 am to 4 pm. We can check our balance anytime but we can invest only during the operating hours.

To invest, once we log in, we have to go to the portfolio page. In this page, each fund that we own will be listed in a table. There is a button for ADDITIONAL INVESTMENT at the rightmost column of each fund. Once we click that button, just follow the steps to invest in the fund. There are three steps to go through before the FPX page for fund transfer.

Overall, I will rate the process as quite easy.

We can also invest in new funds in this portal.

Conclusion

This portal represents a great improvement to the ASNB service. Instead of over the counter transactions to deposit funds, we can do it in the comfort of our house. Nonetheless, for withdrawal, we will still have to go to the counter. This is its only disadvantage now. Hopefully withdrawal service will be provided in this portal in the future.

      Hi, Sham.

When you registered, did you provide your phone number? As far as I know, you will get a password through mobile phone for first time login. After successful login, you will be able to change the password.

If you have done this step, maybe you can walk in to one of the ASNB branches to clarify with the officers there.

      Hope my answer helps.
